Year in review...

I thought I'd give a review of the past 8 months.  So far I've lost 6 cats.  Here's how the list goes:

  1. Dad, who was one of all the kids dads, bit a live wire and blew his tongue off and we won't get into what it did to his face.
  2. Little Stevie, the boys sister, gets hit by a car because she followed her mom across the street.  Bindi and Jeff freak out.  Bindi leads me down to where it all happened.  It was like he wanted to see if I could do anything.
  3. Morris, the kids other father died of pneumonia.  It was horrible.
  4. Siamese, Bindi and Jeff's mom is hit by a car.  My neighbor graciously buried her for me because he didn't want me to see.
  5. Shad, one of Kitty's litter disappears.  He looked pretty bad the last I saw him and then he was gone.  I'm guessing worms did him in.  Long story.
  6. Pee Wee.  See yesterday's entry.

All of this since January.  I only have 7 cats left, and I'm hoping I still have some left by December.

With all the deaths, I've learned to hug and kiss each cat before I go to bed, because I'm not sure if I'll see them in the morning.  The night before was no exception.  I was holding Pee Wee and cuddling him debating on whether I should let him stay out.  It was the last I'd ever see him.

Ok! I've got it all off my chest.  I'm outa here.

PS: Jeff said he might be in the mood next week to write his tales of adventure.  Look out for "Attack of the Tree!"

We put a lot into our little pals, but we get a lot back too.
Just brought my dog home from the vet. She had cancer surgery 2 years ago now. But she has hip dysplasia and lyme and arthritis badly. She is going blind and has a heart arrythmia.
Never complains, always happy, always loving and sweet. We can learn so much from them about patience and enduring in bad times.
I pray for my pets. Some people say thats silly, but, I know the prayers are heard and answered.
I pray for their safety and health each day.
Will put yours on the list now too.

Poor doggie! I put some coins in the pushka for him to have the strength to handle it all and preferably a nes for healing.

I've always prayed for my pets. Maybe because growing up on a farm and sometimes eating meant having healthy animals, I knew the only option was praying for them to stay well.

I'm with you. I learn a lot from my little family of cats. Especially, that door frames can always be replaced if the cats have managed to claw their way through. LOL Ya gotta love 'em! :]

It is hard to believe so many have gone after hearing all the stories since they were born. They give us so much love and ask for so little. Remember this time and love the fleas and hair balls and loving presents LOL
